What you´ll need:
- Clean hands and ears (you can use an alcohol wipe to remove any oils on the skin there)
- A pack or ear beads
- A small mirror
- Tweezers (optional)
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
- Clean the ear area with a cotton pad and mild cleanser or alcohol to remove the oils and let it dry (in front of mirror).
- Choose protocol and apply ear seeds/beads on all points
- Peel the ear seed with tweezers and apply to the ear
- Press on plaster evenly to ensure a good adhesion
- Massage 3 to 5 times a day to boost the effect
- Remove after 5 to 7 days and leave ear to rest for 1 to 2 days to prevent skin irritation
Application tips:
To limit the contact to the adhesive you can use tweezer to peel the ear seed.
If using tweezers, hold the ear seed over the point with tweezers then press with finger. Make sure you press around the ear seed to ensure the adhesive is stuck all the way around.
Do not place the ear seed on the ear then peel it off to apply it somewhere else. The adhesive will be less strong so the ear seed may not stay long on the ear.
Ear seeds come on a strip that is sliced at every pellets. Pull the paper to reveal the tape and use the tweezers on a minimal part of the tape. Apply the ear seed/bead on the ear and press all the way around it.
Press the point several times a day
Removing the ear seeds:
If on the right ear, tilt your head so your right ear is facing the ground so if you lose hold of the ear seed, it will fall on the ground and not in your ear. In the very unlikely case that an ear seed would fall into your ear you would likely feel like water is in your ear, your ear canal will feel irritated. In that case the best thing to do is go to the doctor and get it removed easily.
What happens almost always is people worrying that the ear bead has fallen into their ear. 99% of the time, it will be stuck on your hair, have got lost in the bed sheets or gone down the shower drain and there is no need to worry.
Allergies:
The gold plated ear seeds are made of a metal alloy and some people have a sensitivity to nickel.
What most people will consider a side effect is localised pain on the ear. However, by pressing certain points used therapeutically, those points on the ear will be sensitive to the touch and therefore pressure will hurt. If it hurts too much, take them off at night time before bed and if ear not irritated, put a fresh one in the morning
NEVER put the beads in the ear canal and be very cautious if applying them near the ear canal, make sure the adhesive sticks very well to the ear to avoid any bead falling in the ear canal. At the moment none of our protocols include points near the ear canal though.
