If you want to change your oestrogen levels, your ovarian output, lower your FSH levels, it is your emotional response to your environment that governs this whole thing and it is also what governs egg quality.
The hypothalamus reflects your emotional response to your environment
When working to improve fertility, it is important to keep in mind that the maturation process of a follicle goes far beyond the two week between period and ovulation.
A follicle is called out from the primordial pool over 150 days before ovulation has happened, at that point is has remained unchanged throughout the woman´s life, regardless of whether you are 20 or 40 years old, whether your life is frantic or not.
About 90 days before ovulation it starts interacting with your internal environment which is a reflection of your emotional response to your external environment and this is where egg quality starts to happen, during this tonic growth phase where protein synthesis occurs, 3 months before that egg is ovulated. What happen here is an effect of absolutely everything in your life, it is not predetermined and at a certain point (e.g. after 35) everything goes downhill. A lot of things happen that take the blood flow away from the ovaries, bring your body into a state of hormonal imbalance that negatively affects the developing follicle but it is NOT FINITE. Reproductive medicine cannot change that, giving you hormone shots will not change it. This is the inside job that Chinese medicine has always talked about
This is also very much from that point onwards that you can change things and turn what may be a not so fertile process into a fertile one. I often tell women that we need three months to affect any change in fertility, which isn’t because Chinese medicine is especially slow, but because whatever change we obtain in the maturation process of the follicle (affecting egg quality) will take this long to come to fruition.
